Pain & Acupuncture
Pain is disturbing, subjective and experiential to each person affected. As Acupuncturists we determine the treatment of pain based upon each persons unique history. The nature – such as dull or sharp pain, location, length of time one has had to endure, are part of our assessment. As such, each treatment may be different compared to a western approach which may be the use of anti-inflammatory products for everyone.
However, there is one true fact about our system of medicine, it is an area we excel in, as supported by the World Health Organisation. Some of the most common presentations include, back pain, sports injuries, chronic recurrent injuries, post surgery pain and more. Other types of pain can be associated with an condition such as arthritis or gynecological pain.
